Inspections & Witnessing

Our core service. QEI-certified inspection and third-party test witnessing performed for the building, not the contractor. Your elevator contractor performs the mandated testing; we witness it, verify it was actually performed and actually passed, document the findings, and report to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) as required.

  • State-licensed CEI inspections across all of Florida, including Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, and everywhere in between
  • QEI certified to the ASME QEI-1 national standard
  • Annual inspections supporting your certificate of operation under Chapter 399, Florida Statutes
  • Third-party witnessing of Category 1 annual no-load tests and Category 5 full-load tests
  • Acceptance testing on new and modernized equipment
  • Deficiency documentation that stands up to scrutiny, written for owners, filed with the AHJ, and delivered on time

Specifications

A clear specification is the single most powerful tool a building has: it forces contractors to bid identical scope, eliminates change-order loopholes, and gives you an enforceable standard for the life of the agreement.
